The large roes range in color from dark orange to red and are farmed from fresh rainbow trout. The eggs are then lightly seasoned with sea salt and smoked in cherry wood. Upon delivery, the caviar is ready to eat out of the caviar tin, and can be refrigerated for up to 3 weeks.

Smoked Trout Caviar is versatile in that it can be served alongside blinis or toast, scattered over an omelet, flavored with a lemon wedge, or simply eaten as an appetizer on its own. Many customers have described the taste as similar to smoked salmon, but with a tangier viscous consistency, as the ripe roes burst in your mouth. The bright color of the Smoked Trout can also be exploited as an elegant garnish when presentation is paramount.
