Storing Caviar Caviar is an elegant yet simple delicacy; however, proper care is required in order to preserve the natural, fresh flavors. An unopened tin will stay fresh for up to four weeks. However, once a tin of caviar is opened and exposed to air, the caviar will remain fresh for only three to five days. The ideal storage temperature is between 28 and 30 degrees Fahrenheit. Because most household refrigerators will not reach this temperature, we recommend utilizing the bottom drawer or shelf where the temperature is lowest. Caviar should never be frozen, so we suggest enjoying it soon!

Serving Caviar Ideally, the caviar container should rest on a bed of crushed ice, as it is important for the caviar to retain a chill. Using metal utensils to serve caviar can dramatically alter the flavor and your tasting experience; a Mother-of-Pearl Spoon is preferable. It is also important that the grains remain in tact, thus using a gentle hand is important.

Enjoying Caviar Preferences vary from first-time tasters to caviar connoisseurs. In order to enjoy the pure taste of the caviar, we recommend pairing it with Blinis, plain crackers, or slightly toasted bread. Some prefer to try pairings of egg, sour cream, or Crème Fraîche. Popular tasting accompaniments also include a dry champagne or chilled vodka.

to our products' inherent perishable properties, all claims must be
made within 24 hours of receipt of the shipment. Partially consumed or
discarded items may not be granted a full refund. Once a claim is
received and accepted by Caviar Express, we will automatically reship
your merchandise, offer you a store credit, or refund your full amount.

Sales Tax Perishable
items sold by Caviar Express are exempt from State sales tax in
accordance with the rules and regulations established by the California
Franchise Tax Board. In plain English, no sales tax is assessed on
caviar sales.

Shipping Information
General Information and Packaging Caviar
Express guarantees your package will arrive in perfect condition to the
address stated on your order if shipped according to our Delivery
Requirements (see below). All orders containing caviar are shipped via
FedEx Standard Overnight. Orders containing non-caviar perishable goods are shipped via FedEx Express Saver or FedEx Ground, and could take up to 5 days to arrive.
All
perishable goods are packaged with Gel-Ice blocks to ensure freshness
upon delivery. These Gel-Ice blocks are designed to ensure freshness during transit. However, upon delivery, all perishable goods should
be immediately removed from the packaging and placed in your
refrigerator’s coldest section. Please note that the Gel-Ice blocks can
be re-frozen and used again in the future as they are designed for
multi-use.
Any
order placed during a non-promotional time period containing perishable
goods shipped via FedEx Standard Overnight will be assessed a $35.00
shipping charge. Orders scheduled for Saturday Delivery will be
assessed a $45.00 shipping charge.
Orders
received by 2:00pm Pacific Standard Time will be processed and shipped
the same day for delivery the following day, excluding orders placed on
Saturday and Sunday. Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be
shipped on Monday for Tuesday delivery, unless the ordering and/or
delivery date is deemed a Holiday Date.
Holiday
Dates include: New Year's Day, President's Day, Memorial Day,
Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Personal
Delivery for locations within Southern California may still be
available on Holiday Dates, please call 1-888-228-4275 for further
information.
We strongly recommend that all orders require a signature for delivery. By default FedEx will not deliver a package
without a signature, unless explicitly instructed to do so. If you choose to have FedEx deliver your package without a signature you assume all responsibility for the shipment as Caviar Express is not responsible for the safeguard of your shipment after FedEx has delivered the package to you without signature. If you have any questions about the signature requirement, please contact us by

Due to our products inherit perishable properties; we are unable to deliver to P.O. boxes, and recommend that you do not opt out of the signature requirement. We cannot be held accountable for spoiled orders that are placed without a delivery signature requirement.
Caviar
Express can ship to any physical address within the United States,
including Hawaii and Alaska. However, due to CITES standards, we are
unable to ship to Canada, Mexico, or other international locations. If
you are interested in importing caviar to Canada, Mexico, or another international location, please email or call us at

When Will My Order Arrive? All
orders containing perishable goods are shipped via FedEx Standard
Overnight and usually arrive between 12:00pm and 3:00pm the following
day, excluding orders placed on Saturday, Sunday, or Holiday Dates.
Upon shipment, you will receive an email from Caviar Express with FedEx
Tracking Information. Should your order not arrive in time, or if there
is an error with your shipping address, please contact Caviar Express
immediately at 1-888-228-4275.
