Our hand trimmed,
presliced Smoked Scottish Salmon comes from one of the few smokehouses
left in the world that still smokes salmon in a traditional open fire
smokehouse. This very unique smoking method produces a delicate and
clean flavor that cannot be replicated in modern electric smoking
kilns. Although this is a costly and time consuming technique, you will surely appreciate the difference.
Only the finest
fresh Scottish salmon is selected, which is then hand cured with a
blend of pure sea salt and brown sugar. The salmon is then smoked in
small batches using oak shavings from age old whisky barrels imported
from the highlands of Scotland. Once the salmon has been smoked it is
fully trimmed by hand, sliced and vacuum packed fresh for your
enjoyment.
Smoked Salmon is high in Omega-3 fatty acids which
are essential to good health. It has been shown that increasing Omega-3
in the diet can help lower cholesterol levels. Additionally, our Smoked Salmon is fully Kosher certified and contains no preservatives or artificial ingredients whatsoever.

What to Pair with Smoked Salmon? |

Smoked Salmon is a delicious delicacy that can be enjoyed by itself or paired with various other savory foods.
One of the tastiest and leanest combination's is chopping smoked salmon in cold salad. Add a little bit of croutons, olive oil, salt, fresh pepper and cooked sliced eggs, and you are ready to indulge.
Another great pairing is slightly cooking the smoked salmon in a pan with olive oil, pepper, and salt and mixing it with pasta. This seldom used Italian tradition never fails to satisfy the hungriest and most discerning. Fresh pairings include wrapping the smoked salmon around grilled asparagus, or combining it with baked potato skins, slightly grilled tomatoes, and one of our favorites, avocados!
Of course smoked salmon is the foundation of the classical Lox. Take a slightly toasted bagel, add a healthy amount of cream cheese, smoked salmon, onions, and a generous amount of lemon juice, and you are ready to sink in to bliss. One tip is to squeeze fresh lemon onto the top and bottom bagel slices before placing the above mentioned ingredients - this allows the bread of the bagel to really soak in the lemon taste, which works so well with smoked salmon.
